This is a response to a Flash Fiction prompt from ‘Putting My Feet In the Dirt’, Writing Prompts hosted by ‘M’.
Which can be found by following the link below..
Prompt ~ MOLDY MISHAPS
When I first saw this prompt I thought there had been a spelling error. Apparently mould is spelt without the letter ‘u’ in the USA.
I understand mold as something you creatively build for example something made in clay or plasticine.
MOLDY MISHAPS
by John Yeo
Life can be a series of moldy mishaps
Perfection will always be hard to achieve
We should embrace life as the years elapse.
~
If the downs overshadow the ups, perhaps,
It would be understandable for us to believe
Life can be a series of moldy mishaps.
~
Understanding is the way to see traps
A contented mind should be easy to weave
If we embrace this life as the years elapse.
~
Enjoy the moment, there will be drawbacks
Recognition helps us to see and perceive
Life can be a series of moldy mishaps.
~
Moldy mishaps will never be handicaps
If a smile shines through to help us relieve
We should embrace life as the years elapse.
~
Love is formed by positive meaningful scraps
With the antidote from the vibes we receive
If we embrace this life as the years elapse,
Life could never be a series of mouldy mishaps.

So true “embrace this life as the years escape “ – this as I sit here with my arm in a sling🙄. Love your take on this. ( I spell with a ‘I’ too)
Hope you feel better soon. We have heavy snow here in our part of the UK. It’s a bit too risky to go out. I’m glad you liked the poem. 😊💐
Maybe in another 8 weeks post surgery thanks
Stay safe and well 🙂
