The Doctor was brilliant, he had written many books full of original ideas. Feted the world over, he was basking in the glory of his academic success, Mary, his glamorous wife took care of him and they both enjoyed a super-rich lifestyle.

Mary was very frightened inside, she harboured a sad secret. The Doctor had been leaving an increasing workload unfinished. Secretly Mary had completed many books and papers and engineered the Doctor’s public image. The terrible reality was clear, a shocking disease had struck the Doctor and robbed him of his sparkling mind.

Slowly but surely destroying his brain.

Where? He wondered in silent awe
Thoughtful, Enquiring! Why? How? When?
Fervently searching for answers.
Gazing up on a starry night
A puzzle to overwhelm the senses.
The universe a wonder to the thoughtful mind,
A fiery bright shining firmament.

Burning, Boiling, without relent.
A puzzle to overpower the mind.
The mind, a whirl of discontent,
Fervent, Brilliant, always alight.
The neurons and axions firing in flight.
A Thoughtful, Fervent, Brilliant Brain.
Fervently searching for answers.

First 50 Words~The Filing Cabinet

HARD COPY

Deep in the recesses of the fiing cabinet, covered in the cobwebby dust, I turned to the section marked “L”. I pulled a folder with the word LIFE on the cover. Very tattered and very thick, I started to read. Did I really do all that? I swelled my chest, smiled, and I thought, YES!! I pushed the unfinished folder back and closed the drawer.
