Daily Nature Log ✍️
Leaving home into a warm 23°C breeze, gusts reached up to 46 km/h as the sun shone down. Nearby, a lady was out walking a black greyhound beneath the pine trees.
Trudging around the edge of the recreation ground, I paused to photograph some delicate pink flowers—Google Lens later confirmed them as Herb Robert. Further along at Cemetery Drive, the usually dubious ‘friendly’ Pitbull Terrier actually wagged his tail as I passed.
Inside the cemetery, a lone wood pigeon cooed from a rowan tree, whilst a solitary magpie darted high into the canopy of a tall sycamore. Cutting through the bee-friendly area, very few blooms remained on display.
Passing the leisure centre, half a dozen feral pigeons stood sentinel along the roofline, before I spotted another light-coloured greyhound padding beneath the pines on Foxy Lane.
