Daily Nature Log ✍️
The rain spattered and spluttered across my large, posh pheasant umbrella as I stepped out into a 21°C drizzle today. High above the narrow, holiday-crowded town streets, two woodpigeons lay flat-out on the lee side of a rooftop, completely untroubled by the wet so long as the 11 mph wind left their feathers alone.
I dodged holidaymakers—some sensible under umbrellas, others still dressed for the recent heatwave and simply soaking it up—and nearly bowled over a man with a magnificently large white Husky at the main road corner. By the church, a brave pair of jackdaws defied the miserable, gloomy sky from the topmost aerial, but flew off before I could snap a picture. Soon enough, even the birds called it a day and tucked themselves away.

I came across a Lime tree on the corner of the railway line with many yellow and brown early autumn Lime leaves scattered around underneath. Apparently, this early fall is due to the recent lack of rainfall.
