Daily Nature Log ✍️

  A crisp 19°C start and a north-westerly breeze set the scene today. Thirty corvids made the most of the football pitch—a vibrant green sanctuary amidst the drought-browned grass.
    Whites and cabbage whites flickered past, one pausing just long enough on a goji berry hedge for a quick photo. My ‘friend’ the pitbull offered his usual silent garden guard, while a lone swift darted high above the cemetery field, showing off that unmistakable forked tail. With crows overhead and pigeons lining the leisure centre roof, it was another grand stroll.
