Daily Nature Log ✍️
When I stepped out, the actual 13°C air felt like 10°C thanks to a fierce, blustery 25 mph western wind. Forty corvids swarmed the rec, dominated by a massive herring gull, two common gulls, and four wood pigeons. By Cemetery Drive, two parting magpies scattered before sudden raindrops fell in brilliant sunshine, prompting an umbrella lift. Soon, a grey squirrel scrambled up a Holm Oak, feral pigeons worked the leisure centre airspace, and a grey cat darted across the bank. Finishing off the symphony, high winds howling through the football wire fence moaned like a double-bass.
