Magpies hopped through the pines by the rec while wood pigeons foraged below and a blackbird bolted for the hedge. Out on the grass itself, a lone corvid held the fort. Back in the garden, the ‘friendly’ Pitbull launched onto his trampoline to sound the alarm.
Entering the cemetery stirred up a shy jay, a couple of ascending crows, and rooks wheeling over the treetops. Cemetery Drive opened with a repeat performance from the invisible terrier, swiftly followed by wood pigeons nudging a grumpy jay out of the firs and four more feeding on the verge.
Rounding the leisure centre, ten feral pigeons lined the rooftop alongside a solitary wood pigeon surveying his domain.
